About Me
Cellist based between New Haven and Los Angeles, Shengyu Meng is a first-year Master’s student at the Yale School of Music, where she continues to develop a performance career that bridges classical tradition with contemporary versatility.
Shengyu has performed at renowned venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall and Carnegie Hall, appearing in performances spanning orchestral, chamber, and collaborative settings.
Alongside her formal studies, Shengyu regularly programs works by underrepresented composers and remains actively engaged in community outreach through music education initiatives serving students from diverse communities. Her work reflects a commitment to artistic excellence, accessibility, and meaningful musical engagement.
